Does Anyone Know Where They Are?

Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premier Pro

My video piece explores the disorienting and unsettling experience of being lost—both physically and mentally. Using footage captured during moments when I felt truly lost in the world, I paired these visuals with audio from Jack Stauber to create a layered narrative that evokes confusion and discomfort.

The work is an attempt to replicate that raw, visceral feeling of losing your bearings, whether geographically or within yourself. By blending fragmented imagery and haunting audio, I aim to force the viewer into an uncomfortable space, confronting the disconnection and vulnerability that come with being lost.

Through this piece, I’m exploring the power of art to provoke specific emotional reactions. Rather than leaving the interpretation entirely open-ended, I’ve crafted an experience designed to guide the audience into a particular emotional state. The goal is to challenge viewers, compelling them to sit with discomfort and reflect on their own moments of disorientation in life.
